Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson captures the LA-born three sister band, HAIM, at the Valentine recording studio.

Anderson knew the band first as a fan, before later realising that their mother was his pre-school art teacher; a pivotal authority figure who encouraged his creativity at an early age.

HAIM and PTA have collaborated on numerous projects together, the most recent example being his film Licorice Pizza (2022), in which he cast the youngest sister, Alana, as the lead.
